  CLASSICAL BALLET: A classical form of dance based on traditional positions of the arms and feet. Classes consist of barre exercises, center work, adagio and allegro combinations. Considered the foundation of any serious dancers' studies regardless of their preferred genre, Ballet requires mental and physical discipline and many hours of repetition to train the muscles. Students at intermediate and advanced levels should consider training at least twice a week.

 JAZZ & MUSICAL THEATRE JAZZ: A style of theatrical dancing conceived in America, its technique derives from ballet and modern and is influenced by the musical styles of each succeeding decade. A good jazz dancer strives for the precision of ballet, the strength and suppleness of the gymnast, the accurate speed of the tap dancer, the fluidity of the modern dancer, the dramatic expression of the actor and the sensitivity of the musician. All class levels develop technique, strength, and flexibility.

 HIP HOP: This street style dance class is for those who want to get their groove on to hip hop music while having lots of fun! Beginning: intro to hip hop styles, isolations, popping, rhythm, and choreography while building strength, flexibility, coordination, and balance. Intermediate: moves at a fast pace with more complex choreography to hip hop music. Both are high-energy classes in which dancers will get a really great workout!

 TAP: Tap is an American-born dance style made popular in the developed in the early 20th century of a multi-cultural heritage in which rhythmic sounds are created by the feet. Tap vocabulary, counts, and ability to hear and respond to the beats of the music are stressed in classes for children and adults. Tap shoes are required (some children's shoes are available to borrow). Come get those toes tapping!

 MODERN: In this class, designed for ages 10 through teen with intermediate dance experience in modern, ballet, or jazz, dancers will explore various styles of modern technique, improvisation and elements of dance for composition. Dancers will improve technique, strength, flexibility, balance, performance and overall body awareness.

 IRISH STEP: Irish Step students "step" lively, learning traditional hard shoe, soft shoe, and ceili (group) dance. From beginners to advanced performance classes a grand time is had by all. Students, both children and adults, have the opportunity to perform throughout the community and can also attend feiseanna (competitions).

 MIDDLE EASTERN: Dancers of all skill levels can develop a strong technical foundation, performance skills, and understanding of this ancient dance form. Students learn a blend of American Cabaret and Egyptian Raqs Sharki including finger cymbals, rhythms, veils, canes, swords, and more. Traditional and contemporary join in energetic, challenging classes. Performance opportunities available!

 PRE-SCHOOL CREATIVE: In a fun, encouraging atmosphere, the youngest dancers at the Studio (starting at 4-5 years) learn about rhythm, coordination, and how to be in a dance class. Based on Ballet, this class brings in elements of Creative Dance to inspire tiny dancers to enjoying a lifetime of dancing.

 WEST AFRICAN: This dance style includes movements basic to both Congolese and West African styles. Dancers of all levels (incl. new beginners) are welcome and should come ready to sweat and enjoy moving together as a community of musicians and dancers. Emphasis will be put on understanding dance as it relates to the downbeat of the drums and on allowing these new movements to become a natural part of the dancer's vocabulary.

 TANGO: Argentine Tango, the dance of passion, originated in Argentina and Uruguay. It is a dance of elegance and style. Achieve grace and elegance on the dance floor and have enjoyment for years to come.
